Dr. Alyssa Sanabria is the Director of the FGCU R.I.S.E. program, a Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Program (FPCTP) for Students with Intellectual Disabilities. FPCTPs are inclusive postsecondary programs for students with intellectual disabilities that increase independent living, inclusive and experiential postsecondary education, and employment opportunities. Dr. Sanabria has worked in Special Education for over a decade and is a dedicated professional in the field of education. Dr. Sanabria holds both a Bachelors and Master's Degree in Special Education as well as a dual-concentrated Doctorate in Higher Education and PK-12 Leadership. Dr. Sanabria has presented at over ten conferences and has published 8+-reviewed articles in the field of post-secondary programs for students with intellectual disabilities.
