Pellegrine, Shane (B.S.)

Shane Pellegrine began full-time at FGCU in August 2017 as a marketing and promotions coordinator and was elevated to Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions in July 2018.

In his role, Pellegrine coordinates the planning and execution of promotions for all 15 of FGCU's Division I Sports. He was honored in May 2021 as one of the Eagles of the Quarter honoring staff members who go above and beyond in their service to the department and FGCU student-athletes.

In addition to that, Pellegrine schedules anthem singers, serves as one of the on-court emcees at basketball games, assists FGCU's mascot Azul The Eagle in operating his social media accounts, and heads initiatives around campus and in the community such as putting up schedule posters, magnets, etc. On top of that, he helps recruit new Dirty Bird members through the university’s summer Eagle View orientation program.

Pellegrine, who is a 2017 graduate of FGCU, began interning with the marketing department early in his junior year before being hired part-time as a marketing assistant in his senior year. In that role, he provided customer service at marketing tables, sold merchandise, and assisted in on-court promotions. He was a member of the Dirty Birds all four years.

Outside of that, the Willimantic, Conn., native spent a year playing clarinet with the FGCU basketball band and was also a member of the college’s symphonic orchestra during his freshman and sophomore years. He graduated with a bachelor of science in management with a concentration in sports.
