Pereda, Sheila
Sheila Pereda currently serves as the Fraternity & Sorority Life Coordinator in Campus Life. Through years of experience in Greek Life, student relations, and programming, she provides support and guidance to individual chapters, and coordinates events, workshops, and initiatives that promote leadership development and community engagement within the Greek community. She also serves as the Chair of the Hazing Prevention Committee where she strives to educate the university population on the dangers of hazing and help the community create proactive responses rather than reactive responses around hazing. Sheila is a proud Cuban-American and First-Generation Student from Miami, Florida, having graduated with her B.S. and M.S. in Health Services Administration at Florida International University. She joined Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. in 2018, and continues to be an active member within the organization on a local and national scale. She moved from the 305 to the 239 in 2022, and enjoys playing video games, spending time with her friends and family, and listening to podcasts. She hopes to visit every state in the United States at least once!
